About us

For more than 90 years the NORIS Group develops, produces and sells devices for use in the fields of sensors, signal processing and the visualisation of temperature, speed and pressure, along with complete systems for marine automation such as alarm and monitoring systems for vessel engines and generators as well as remote control systems for ship propulsion.

The NORIS Group has its headquarters in Nuremberg, Germany. NORIS Automation Rostock is our centre of excellence for all issues surrounding the remote control of ship propulsion. NORIS Benelux, located near Rotterdam, is distributing marine equipment as well as offering service on-site. Asia is ideally served by our NORIS Automation Far East branch in Singapore and the NORIS-SIBO Automation branch in Shanghai.

Products and services

Noris Group is a well-established, experienced manufacturer and specialist in the field of instrumentation and automation technology. Our product range includes a wide range of sensors (speed sensors, temperature sensors, speed pick-ups, rotation angle pick-ups, pressure transducers, tachogenerators), signal processing devices (limit value switches, measuring transducers, multi-functional devices) and analogue indicators.

In the field of automation systems we produce: data acquisition systems, integrated alarm, monitoring and control systems, alarm extension systems, safety systems for combustion engines, power management systems, remote control systems for ship propulsion, engine order telegraphs, tank level gauging, dead-man systems etc.

We support everything from one source.
NORIS has strongly increased its investment in the After-Sales-Service in the last years including support, repairs, spare parts, customer service and training.

The N3500 is our solution for cost-effective alarm, monitoring and control system of the well-known NORIMOS family. It is used to monitor and control ship technology, such as engines, generators, pumps, valves, ventilators or other auxiliary system. The N3500 as a centralized system is based on two central PC master stations and can be easily extended to customer requirements. It is ideally suitable for both small data acquisition systems and complex alarm, monitoring and control systems.

NORISTAR 4 is the result of our efforts to design a remote control system which is even more flexible and provides a huge number of additional functions. Start-stop logic-connection or DP and Joystick interconnection as well as for additional touchscreen panel for detailed visualisation of control processes are just some of the examples. Of course, integration of existing NORIS products or in existing systems is possible. The discreet and timeless design makes this attractive product complete.

NORINET cloud-based vessel monitoring and analysis is based on the latest technical infrastructure. The NORINET interface unit is installed on the vessel with access to the internet and connected to the vessel’s LAN network. It works as data collector, processor and gateway. The secure data transfer from the interface unit to the cloud is done via MQTT messaging protocol and ensures minimum network traffic and maximum scalability. The NORINET applications can be customised.
