The AVR Series are semi-elastic and suitable primarily for free-standing gearboxes and directly coupled engine/gearbox applications in which the mounts need to absorb the torque with complete propeller thrust. AVR mounts are provided with internal and external precision metallic sleeves that are joined with a vulcanised rubber layer. The rubber element can dampen axial and particularly radial vibrations, and it can also absorb torsional and cardanic stresses.
MDS2 is designed to detect torque loading as a function of the twist angle over torque transmitting components such as flexible couplings or composite shafts. Dynamic data is analysed and evaluated against pre-set warning and alarm levels. Warning and alarm signals range from optical to active intervention in the propulsion drive train. MDS2 is available as either monitoring device or as safety equipment to protect the propulsion drive train from overloads and enabling planned maintenance.
VULKAN Couplings has continued the success of the ACOTEC range with the launch of the RATO R +. The proven principle of construction of the standard RATO R was retained with the ACOTEC variant. Utilization of same parts with the proven and field-tested RATO R guarantees highest levels of functional reliability. The RATO R+ coupling has been specially designed for the use in installations requiring a high level of torsional flexibility and misalignment capacity.
