CERTEC®-Maximum cleanliness in measuring cell production

Two types of measuring cells are produced at VEGA under the extreme clean conditions of "clean room class 100": the ceramic-capacitive CERTEC® measuring cell and the metallic METEC® measuring cell. The sensitive measuring cells, based on thick-film technology, are printed and fired in a completely dust-free atmosphere. The special feature of the CERTEC® ceramic measuring cell: it works without any transmission fluid. This cell is dry and self-monitoring and thus automatically registers damage to the diaphragm, or any process liquid seeping into the sensor. The ultrahigh quality of the Sapphire-ceramic® diaphragm guarantees reliability in applications with abrasive media and constant high temperatures of up to 150℃, as well as optimal cleaning and hygiene. CERTEC® measuring cells are extremely precise and yet well protected against overload. Their high mechanical strength and stability lends them outstanding stability over a long period of time. There are two commonly used hydrostatic pressure transmitters in shipbuilding industry: VEGABAR 82 and VEGAWELL 52, they are all equipped with CERTEC® measuring cell, ideal for cargo tanks, LNG/LPG carriers, manifold, service tank for drinking water, ship position and draught, anti-heeling system, heavy lifter and ballast water tanks. CERTEC® measuring cell offers excellent chemical resistance even in aggressive media, can withstand pressure shocks in rough seas, has high resistance to corrosive seawater, easy to maintain, thus the instruments guarantee a reliable measurement and long service life.
