About us
SAACKE on board. This means safe, environmentally friendly and energy-efficient firing systems for seagoing vessels, offshore plants and LNG tankers,etc. The comprehensive experience in development, design, construction of new plants in standard applications as well as for individual projects and conversions pays off. Our portfolio ranges from naval boiler plants and gas combustion units (GCU) and complete plants for the offshore sector. Not to forget that support and service of marine plants are in the best hands with SAACKE.
Our special focus is on the development of systems for the use of alternative fuels for clean shipping. We are intensively researching new technologies, from hydrogen combustion to methanol and the use of ammonia. The first marine methanol boiler (test plant) was ignited successfully in May, 2023.

SAACKE marine products incl. marine boilers, marine burners, duel fuel burners, and gas combustion units (GCU).
More than 6,000 SAACKE systems are currently in operation on seagoing vessels all over the world.
SAACKE supplies burners in the capacity range of 0.7-48 MW and boilers with capacities from 1-110 t/h. In addition to conventional fuels such as heavy fuel oil, low-sulphur heavy fuel oil, marine diesel oil (MDO) and marine gas oil (MGO), dual-fuel systems are increasingly used.
Marine Boiler
- The boiler control is fully automatic
- Can be operated in a master-slave mode.
- Compatible with dual fuel applications
- Can be delivered with flue gas recirculation for emissions in the Ultra-Low NOX range
Marine Burner
- Allows a high control range and ensures complete combustion, resulting in low O2 values even when operating on low load.
- Available as a burner for purely liquid fuels or as a combined burner for gaseous fuels.
- Easy installation, handling and maintenance
- Capacity range up to 37 MW
Gas Combustion Unit (GCU)
- Capacity range: 0.4 – 4.5 t/h (other variables available on request)
- Combustion of the boil-off-gases on the basis of the 100% free-flow-solution
- Low NOx values thanks to cold flame technology
- Short flame due to grid burner
